2024 Year-End Review
Looking for more information? Check out the podcast interview between Logan and Jacob discussing FoNT!
Hello everyone! Each year, the board of directors of the Fellowship of Northern of Traditions have what we call our Year-End Review. This is a much more extensive meeting than those we typically hold twice a month. During the year-end-review, we plan for the year ahead, review our by-laws, conduct a thorough review of our finances from the past year, bring new members onto the board, and more. This blog post is to update the community on all that was discussed, including updates for the year ahead! We are looking forward to sharing a magical year with you.

Finances
At the end of our 2024 Fiscal Year, the Fellowship held $28,775.81.
Our GoFundMe, launched in 2022, has raised $26,095 to date, before removing fees collected by the GoFundMe platform.
The total amount raised via our book sales, merchandise sales, and via our Discord online community subscriptions was $4,059.79.
Gathering expenses were $18,910.62 and gathering income was $20,019.00.
We stated in the year-end-review blog post last year that our financial goals for this year were to find cheaper gathering locations and to break even on gatherings. We are happy to report that we met both of these goals!

Leadership
2024 concludes the initial three-year terms of our founding board members and also concludes the terms for the Officer positions. This has lead to many changes within the leadership structure. Additionally, we are bringing on several new Fellowship Trainees to potentially join the board after a year of training, and several new Fellowship Stewards to assist with events.
Officer Positions
Lawspeaker (Head of the Board of Directors): After three years of official leadership and two years prior to FoNTs formation, Jacob has decided not to run for re-election for Lawspeaker. The Board of the Fellowship of Northern Traditions has decided to elect Jacob’s long serving Vice-Lawspeaker, Logan, as the new Lawspeaker for the 2025-2028 term.
Vice-Lawspeaker: The new Vice-Lawspeaker is Lauren from North Carolina.
Bookkeeper (Secretary): The new Bookkeeper is Jessikah from Texas, taking over from original Bookkeeper Raigen.

The Hall
As always, the Hall looms on the horizon as our ultimate goal. With our current amount of funds, buying a property outright is not yet feasible. However, we hope everything communicated above shows that we are making steady progress towards our biggest dream, and that we are serious about increasing the pace towards the Hall! You can still donate to the GoFundMe via this link and we hope to raise even more funds this year outside of direct donations. We plan on investigating other avenues for purchasing land this year.
Other notes:
We are immensely proud of our community members who stepped up to volunteer and provide disaster relief after Hurricane Helene rocked the Appalachian region in 2024. In February, Fellowship Leader Heath organized a gathering in Hot Springs, North Carolina, with all proceeds of over $1000 going to help the town rebuild!
We started our new community magazine this year: Bifrost, with the first edition, "Glimpses at the Gods" published in December.

Thank you to everyone who joined us around the fire this year! We are looking forward to more magical moments in the year ahead!
With Gratitude,
The Fellowship
